HEY! Where’s My Lunch Hour?

That is, if you’re one of the few people left who still eats lunch.
The Steelcase Workplace Index Survey revealed a “disappearing” lunch hour for U.S. workers. According to the research, most office workers don’t bother to ask “What’s for lunch?” anymore. Instead, we juggle lunch with work at our desks, jam in a quick bite between errands, or skip it altogether.
Is lunch left on anyone’s schedule, in the United States or in other countries? What’s going on during lunch if no one is eating? And how is the work environment changing now that lunch is often a hurried, stay-in-the-office event?
