• The proposed 1,300 ft. Gazprom tower planned for Russia’s St. Petersberg skyline, where no other building towers above 400 ft. A clear cut case of skyscraper envy.
• Women in architecture – currently only 13.3% of AIA members. I think we need some inspirational music here…anything you can do I can do better, I can do anything better than you…
• Firms-to-watch, e.g. UnSangDong (South Korea), Studio Luz (Boston), BAR (Rotterdam), SUMO (NY), and (M)Arch (L.A.). Hmmm, maybe a cool name is the first step…we notice Johnson, Miller, Smith & Associates didn’t make the list.
